Safety for parents
Here is what Buddyvale does and does not do. We keep it factual so you can decide for yourself.
Talking to other players
- There is no free chat. Children cannot type messages to other players.
- They communicate with fixed emotes and fixed phrases only.
- Nicknames are checked, and a child can hide the name above their head so others see an animal name instead (parent setting).
The parent panel
- A parent PIN of 4 digits protects the parent panel.
- You decide who can send friend requests, who can follow or visit your child, and whether notifications are shown.
- You can see and remove friends, and block players.
- You can set a daily play time and a break reminder (soft limits).
- You can download all data and delete the account.
Blocking and reporting
- Every player can be blocked from the game.
- Players can be reported from the game.
Advertising and trackers
- There is no advertising.
- No third-party trackers, no remarketing and no external fonts or scripts on this website.
- We measure the game with our own anonymous statistics, not linked to an account.
Your data
- Data is stored in Belgium.
- We only ask for the month and year of birth, never the day, to set the age group.
- A parent's e-mail address is optional.
- There are no purchases in the game.
Tips
- Play along for the first sessions.
- Agree that your child never shares passwords, and that you are the one to ask when something feels strange.
